The
Florida Capitol Advocate Group was formed in 2002 by former Florida State
Senator John Grant for the purpose of providing access and input for select
private clients to the legislative and executive branches of state and
federal government. With twenty-one years combined experience as a member of the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate, followed by serving as an agency head in the Executive Office of Florida Governor Jeb Bush, Senator Grant was well aware that access is the key to influence and that access comes through the establishment of working relationships between government advocates and legislative members and staff, as well as the staff of state agencies. The client advocates of FCAG provide some of the most experienced and well connected individuals in Tallahassee, including former members of the legislature, committee chairs, key staff veterans and advocates who can open most any legislative or executive door for our clients and successfully advocate their needs and position to those whose decisions will impact the business and lives of our valued clientele. At FCAG, our mission is to do whatever it legally and ethically takes to influence public policy decisions for the best interests of our clients. We believe that our clients are better served through being pro-active rather than having to be re-active to government action, and we do not give up until our clients' mission is accomplished, whether that requires protecting our clients from adverse actions of government or leveraging government opportunities for the benefit of our clients. When clients retain FCAG as their advocate, they know that someone is watching out for their interests, and at the end of the day, they can rest well because FCAG is looking out for them in Tallahassee and Washington.
